Personal Background

Fly fishing small streams for trout is one of the types of fishing I enjoy most and seem to be best at. Being able to get out for a day and explore the breathtaking scenery

while at the same time having the opportunity to catch a 26 inch or bigger trophy fish, from a few feet of water amazes me. And I am quite sure it always will. Another real interest of mine is chasing some of the real monsters that inhabit the rivers or lakes, and those being salmon and muskie. It is hard to rival the feeling that comes over you when setting the hook and watching the line being stripped off your reel,... the only word that comes to mind when trying to explain this feeling is "INCREDIBLE"..

Rod building has become my new passion. It was the next logical step for me to take after learning to tie my own flies. I want to forewarn everyone that is thinking of building their own rods. Once you take that first wrap of thread around a guide foot there is no turning back, you will be hooked for life. Rod building is highly addictive because you are placed in a position of complete control, making your rod just the way you always wanted, or at least trying to.....
